State Champions, Bloomer Recap, and End-of-Season Party
Well, it’s been a busy week, Coyotes! On Sunday we had our final race (Bloomer Park in Rochester Hills), won a double State Championship and came home with some great memories of the racing season. Then, last night on Tuesday we had our team end-of-season party at Cannonsburg, complete with Tacos and a very brief night ride (on the pump …
Merrell Race Recap
Home Trail Advantage is REAL. The Coyotes had unquestionably their best team showing this week, winning both the High School and Middle School races by their largest margins of the year, and establishing a lead in the chase for a dual-state championship. Many riders outperformed previous results, and it’s safe to say riding near home, on a trail we know …
Race Review – Rainy River Bends Park
It rained. It poured. We huddled under tents. But that was just the last hour or two of the day. Prior to that we enjoyed some serious racing, great performances and grilled hamburgers (thanks Hoffmans and Boons!). Team scores will be coming later this week, so we’re not really sure how the team did overall. Here are podiums and individual …
Brighton Rec Race Recap
The Coyotes kept their Middle School winning streak alive this week, despite a depleted squad, at Brighton Recreation area. The team earned a number of podiums and ensured we continued to represent West Michigan with pride. A brief downpour also added some unexpected action to the awards ceremony. Many thanks to those who made the drive to Brighton. We have …

Saturday – Skirts in the Dirt On Saturday, Coyotes Anabel Miller, Addison Forrester and Olivia Miller competed in the 6th annual Skirts in the Dirt, an all-woman race, put on as a fundraiser for the West Michigan Mountain Bike Alliance. In the “Dirt Diva” expert/open race, Anabel placed 4th and …
This year: A Trailer!
This is a special post to show off our new trailer! Thanks to Jason Ryan, a Coyote parent, a State Farm Agent, and a generous sponsor of the Coyotes. He graciously purchased a trailer for our team this year. We’re working on getting graphics done, and racks installed. In fact, here’s an action shot of the trailer at Rolling Grey …
Coyotes Howl at Big M
Several West Michigan Coyotes had a great showing at the Big M Challenge XC race this past weekend. The race featured a hilly, difficult 16.5-mile loop, that gave away “no free trail.” In addition, this race put several of our racers into a strong position to win their respective Michigan Mountain Bike Association Championship Point Series age groups. As always, …
Pontiac Lake Challenge XC
Congrats to the Coyotes’ own Easton Foster for his 3rd place finish at the Pontiac Lake Challenge this past weekend. He was the lone Coyote at the race, and he snagged a well-earned podium finish. As always, we’d like to thank the sponsors that make the Coyotes a reality: Jason Ryan – State Farm Insurance Agent, Central District Cyclery, Breakaway Bicycles and …
