If you’re riding Zwift this winter in your basement we would love to meet up online for group rides now and then. We also have a weekly challenge going on for Coyotes. Details about how you can stay connected with the team over the winter are below!
If you’d like to participate you need:
- A Zwift account (free for people under 16 years old)
- A Zwift-compatible smart trainer for your bike (not free at all, sadly)
- In Zwift, follow Coaches Zuelke, Miller and Frehr so we can add you to meetups. We cannot invite people that aren’t following us.
- Zwift Companion App on your smartphone (optional, but very helpful)
- This invite is open to riders and their families. Any prizes will be limited to Coyotes riders themselves.
Coyotes Winter Challenge
Each week we’re picking a segment in Zwift to race, on your own time, or at a meetup if we schedule one. To participate, email Coach Miller (include your cell# so we can add you to the group text that announces segments, etc).
“Rules” are pretty fast and loose:
- Three tries per week
- Submit a photo of your time for proof (we’ll add you to a group-text)
- Winner picks next week’s segment
- Come and go as you please. There’s no commitment to do every week.
There will be prizes. We’re still figuring that out.
Coyotes Zwift Meet-ups
We haven’t tried this before, but we’re going to try scheduling Zwift meet-ups now and then. This would allow team members who are Zwifting to ride together in a group ride. Plus, you can do it on any Zwift circuit in the game, regardless of what’s opened at that time.
We plan to try out a team group-ride in Zwift next week.
To participate, email Coach Miller (include your cell# so we can add you to the group text that announces segments, etc).
