2025 Registration

Welcome to the 2025 Coyotes Season!

Get ready to hit the trails! The Coyotes season kicks off in early June and wraps up in mid-October with the MiSCA youth-only Mountain Bike race series. Racing is optional, but fun and safety are always top priorities.

Registration Details
Returning Riders: Renew between March 1st – March 16th using the passcode sent via BAND (and email).
Open Registration: Begins March 17th and runs until May 31st (or until we fill up).

Your registration includes:

  • A code for a team race jersey – orders in April 2025
  • All practices & coaching
  • Team-building events
  • Race day support
  • End-of-season party

Important: Race entries are not included in the team fee and must be registered separately through MiSCA.

Volunteer Commitment

Our team thrives on community support, and we need you to keep things rolling!

  • One volunteer shift per child, per season at a MiSCA race. We’re not talking about an all-day affair…just one hour off the phone and in the action. Easy, right? Yeah, we agree!
  • Bringing an item to each race to keep our team fueled and ready. Water, ice, snacks (we love our snacks!!).
  • Our food committee is legendary, and you’ll be a hero for keeping the crew energized!

Practices
We ride some of the best trails in West Michigan. Practices rotate between Spring Lake, East Grand Rapids, and Holland.

When: Weekday evenings 6:30-8:00 PM before Labor Day, shifting to 6:00-7:30 PM after Labor Day. Yes, we ride in the dark later in the year…don’t worry, we’ve got lights for everyone!

Where: Locations are scheduled in advance but may change based on weather. We practice one day per week in the Grand Rapids metro area and one day per week near the lakeshore to keep things balanced.

Racing (Optional, but encouraged!)
The Coyotes compete in the MiSCA Mountain Bike Race Series, a six-race series designed just for kids.

Who can race? Elementary, middle, and high school riders.
When? Late August through mid-October.
Why race? Because it’s a blast. Riders of all skill levels are welcome, and courses are designed to match different abilities.

Coaching & Parent Riders Our lead coaches are experienced and MiSCA-certified, but we always welcome extra help on the trails.

  • Parents can ride along by registering as a Level 1 coach (no extra time commitment or experience required).
  • Level 1 coaches act as sweepers, making sure every rider finishes safely.
  • No cost to coach, just bring your enthusiasm.
  • Only registered Level 1 coaches are permitted to ride with the team. If you don’t want to coach, that’s totally fine…have fun riding on your own, and we’ll see you at the trailhead at the end of practice!
